We make and sell home organisation for people who can’t drill, screw or rebuild. Mostly renters. Mostly small rooms. The whole business rests on publishing measurements other people keep to themselves.
The name
- Reddverb, Scots & Northern English
- to put a room in order; to clear, tidy and set straight.
- “I’ll redd up before they get here.”
- A working word for a working job. It’s what we make things for.
How we test
Every dimension we publish is in centimetres, taken at a stated point — external at the widest part, or internal and usable — and to one decimal place. Weights are in kilograms to one decimal. Capacities are counts of real objects, so “14 pens, or 9 pens and a phone” rather than “generous storage”.
Until we have physically held a product, the figure on the page is the manufacturer’s, and the row says so in orange, individually, rather than under a blanket disclaimer at the bottom where nobody reads it. When we get a sample we re-measure everything and correct the page.
Corrections get a dated line at the foot of the page they affect. We don’t quietly edit.
A page with three honest corrections on it is worth more than a page that has never been wrong.
Only one of those looks like it was written by a person.
How we make money
We sell the things we make. That’s all. We don’t take affiliate commission and we’re not in the Amazon programme, so when a guide tells you to buy a £29.95 organiser from someone else instead of a £59.99 one from us, that costs us the sale and earns us nothing.
We don’t earn anything if you buy any of these. We’re not in the Amazon affiliate programme.
If that ever changes — if we do join an affiliate programme — the disclosure changes the same day, and it goes above the recommendation rather than in the footer.
What we haven’t sorted out yet
This is a new business and pretending otherwise would undercut everything else on this page. As of today:
- Nothing has been manufactured. The desk set exists as a specification and a supplier quote, not as an object. The page for it takes a £0 reserve, not a payment, and it says so at the top.
- We don’t hold stock in the UK. The pieces would come from our supplier in China. That means we cannot promise next-day anything, so we don’t.
- Every measurement on the site is currently the manufacturer’s. Every one of them is tagged as such.
- There are no reviews. There will be no reviews until somebody who bought one writes one. We won’t be writing any, buying any, or trading discounts for any.
- The company isn’t registered yet. When it is, the number and the registered address go in the footer of every page where you can check them.
